Gallery_12Workshop_BusDev2Mark Beese is an Adjunct Faculty at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law where he teaches Strategic Marketing and Business Development.  This blog serves as an example to his students of how to launch and maintain a legal blog.  The blog is provided by LexBlog, as a way to educate J.D. students on issues of social media.

Mark is also President of Leadership for Lawyers, a consultancy focused on helping lawyers and other professionals become better leaders and business developers.  He provides training, coaching and consulting to lawyers, C-Suite executives and other professionals in the areas of leadership, management, marketing, business development, client service and innovation.  Mark also serves as Adjunct Faculty with the Center for Creative Leadership, where he facilitates leadership development programs.

Mark is a Fellow of the College of Law Practice Management and an inductee in the Legal Marketing Association Hall of Fame.

Mark is a frequent speaker and facilitator at law firm retreats, legal network meetings and industry conferences.  His clients range from single-office firms to Global 10 firms.  He has worked with clients across North America, Europe, Caribbean, and South America.

He has written for numerous publications, including the ABA Journal, ABA Law Practice Management Magazine, Legal Marketing Association Strategies, ALM’s Marketing the Law Firm, Attorney At Work, Denver Bar Association Docket, Originate, Law Practice Today, Law Firm Inc., and other publications.

Prior to consulting, Mark served as Chief Marketing Officer for Holland & Hart, 450 attorney law firm based in Denver, Colorado and Director of Marketing for the New York law firm Hodgson Russ.
